The Leukemia Research Foundation was born out of determination to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, and related blood cancers. Contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations and other philanthropic organizations, as well as fundraising events, are a vital part of our fight against these diseases.
More than 100 years ago, Jane Addams founded Hull House to fulfill a vision of a community-focused approach to solving social problems. In her efforts to advance the goal of neighbors helping neighbors, she helped thousands of individuals change their lives. Today, her legacy endures through the work of Jane Addams Hull House Association, which continues to help children, families and seniors make better lives for themselves and their communities.

The American Jewish Committee was established in 1906 by a small group of American Jews deeply concerned about pogroms aimed at the Jewish population of Russia. The group determined that the best way to protect Jews in Russia and other countries would be to work towards a world in which all peoples are accorded respect and dignity. |
